Taj is one of the seven wonders in the world.It is considered as the finest example of mugal architecture.Taj is in the city of Agra in the northern Indian state of Uttarpradesh on the banks of the yemuna river.The history of the Taj mahal begins with Mumtaz Mahal's tragic end,creating the most beautiful mausolem the world had ever seen.Shahjahan who was the passionate builder of Taj mahal.The emporer Shahjahan ruled from 1628 to 1658,and was married to Mumtaz mahal.He called his wife "the crown of the palace".because she was so precious to him.They had fourteen children.She died in 1631,shortly after giving birth to her fourteenth children.Her dying wish to Shahjahan was that he should "build a tomb in her memory such as the world had never seen before"It made use of services of 22,000 workers 1,000elephants.

It was built entirely out of white marble,which was brought in from all over India and central Asia. Compleated in the year 1653.On the corners of the marble platform are four minarats that are almost 138ft high.Ustad Ahamad Lahauri is generally considered to be the designer of the Tajmahal.Amanat Khan Shirazi was the caligrapher of Taj.Many valuable meterials are used to the making of Taj.Red sand stone was brought from Fatehpur Sikri,Jasper from Punjab.Jade and cristal from China.Diamonds from Panna.In all 28 kind of rare semiprecious and precious stones were used for inlay work in the Tajmahal.The white marble brought from the quarries of Makrana in Rajastan.So Tajmahal is beautiful ever and ever:It is the painful memory of love.
